Emmet Spaeth
Hello, my name is Emmet. I am currently studying Computer Science at the University of Connecticut. Along with my classes, I am a member of the Husky Quantitative Group (HQG). HQG does algorithmic trading for portfolio management. I'm open to collaborating on new projects, so please reach out on the contact page if you're interested in anything on my GitHub.
Outside of school I'm an avid runner and regularly take part in road races. Recently, I started trying to do more in the arts. For example, all of the flowers on this site are water colors that I painted myself.
Finally, I've been trying to more reading books after realizing it had literally been years since I read a full book. For non-technical readers, I recommend Frankenstein and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. For technical readers, I recommend The Data Detective by Tim Harford, Weapons of Math Destructive by Cathy O'Neil, and A Discipline of Programming by Edsger Dijkstra (or any of his essays which are much shorter). If you want to make me really happy just ask me about any of these books.
